You can easily trigger avalanches on some steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

Sol og høye dagtemperaturer mandag vil fukte opp snøoverflaten før den fryser til med nattefrosten natt til tirsdag. I skyggefulle partier høyt til fjells er det likevel fremdeles tørr snø i overflaten.

I overgangen mellom gammel skare og fokksnøsnø, ble det forrige helg observert kantkorndannelse. Utbredelsen til vedvarende svake lag i regionen er usikker.

No precipitation. Breeze from north. -7 °C to 5 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Tuesday 11. May 2021

2-4 mm precipitation. Fresh breeze from northeast. -2 °C to 4 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Nattefrost fører til forbigående stabilisering av snødekket før nedbør som regn og økende temperaturer igjen vil fukte opp snøen. Mye av nysnøen fra helgen raste nok fra seg mandag, men litt ny nedbør og plussgrader i fjellet vil fukte opp snøen og det kan være lett å løse ut mindre skred i bratt terreng.

Vær obs på faren for skavlbrudd og glideskred.
